Rainbow jerseys up for grabs!
The 2027 UCI Granfondo World Championships will take place on the spectacular roads of the Haute Savoie region of France. Amateur riders can qualify via a worldwide selection of Granfondo events. Qualified riders will then have the chance to ride the finals in France and battle for the iconic World Champion rainbow jerseys in their age categories. These Granfondo World Championships will form a part of the UCI ‘Super Worlds’ in the Haute Savoie region where the world titles for all UCI cycling events will be up for grabs. 15000 athletes are expected in what will be the biggest cycling event ever held.
For Granfondo finalists there will be 2 races, a time trial on August 22nd and a road race on August 24th.
We are providing an accommodation and support package for riders competing in these World Championships. Our hotel accommodation will be in the beautiful town of Grand Bornand, perfectly located near the start and finish of each of the races.
The schedule
August 20/August 21
Arrival of riders in Grand Bornand. Collection of riders available from Geneva Airport.
Time Trial registration and bib collection at event village.
August 22
UCI Granfondo World Championships Individual Time Trial.
12.7km from Thones to La Clusaz with 435m of altitude gain. The course will favour using normal road bike as opposed to a TT bike so international travellers will be able to travel with one bike.
August 23
Road Race registration and bib collection.
August 24
UCI Granfondo World Championships Road Race. 115kms and 3250m climbing for the younger age groups. 80kms and 2150m climbing for older age groups.
August 25
Recovery ride! A chance to ride the World Championship Sallanches/Domancy circuit that will be raced by the elite riders in the coming days.
August 26
Transfers to Geneva airport and to other onward destinations.

We can provide transfers from and back to Geneva Airport on August 20th and August 26th
We have some flexibility on pick up and drop off times, please let us know which flights you are looking at before you book them so that we can confirm their suitability and also so we can confirm the transfer cost.
