DESCRIPTION:This tour takes riders on an epic journey across the whole length of the Pyrenees. Starting on the Atlantic near Biarritz we’ll head east taking in a wonderful collection of iconic climbs as we head to the shores of the Mediterranean. 7 spectacular days of riding will take riders through the best of the French\, Spanish and Andorran Pyrenees. \n  \n \n  \nThe TransPyrenees schedule\nSaturday June 12 \nCollection from Bilbao or Biarritz airports \nSunday June 13 \nBiarritz – Oloron \nMonday June 14 \nOloron – Argelès Gazost \nTuesday June 15 \nAgelès Gazost – Bagnères de Luchon \nWednesday June 16 \nBagnères de Luchon – Tarascon \nThursday June 17 \nTarascon – Puigcerda \nFriday June 18 \nPuigcerda – Olot \nSaturday June 19 \nOlot – Tossa de Mar \nSunday June 20 \nTransfers to Girona and Barcelona Airports. \n  \n  \nWho would enjoy this trip?\nThis trip is long and challenging with each day averaging 120km and 2500m of climbing. \nA good fitness level will be required but there will certainly be scope for different rider levels to enjoy this trip. \nThe main prerequisites for this tour are that you come prepared and are happy to ride for 5-6 hours each day.  \nWe would anticipate most riders on this trip having already ridden in high mountains before\, but not always.  \nAs is always the case\, please contact us to find out if this trip suits you. \n  \n\n\nCost\n£2195  (twin share) \n  \n\nWhat we include\n\n7 days of guided rides with vehicle support.\n8 nights of accommodation\, twin share\, in a combination of gites and 2/3 star hotels.\nBreakfast every day.\nDinner on six nights \nTransfers from and to airports\nEnergy drink powder\, bananas\, and pastries are available on the rides.\n\n  \nWhat we don’t include\n\nLunches.\nFlights.\nTravel insurance.\n\n  \nVAM Rating\nRiders on this trip should be capable of climbing at a rate of around 700 metres/hour on a long climb when pushing themselves hard. \nThis certainly does not mean that riders have to ride at this level for the duration of the trip. It does\, however\, give us an idea of your fitness level and therefore gives you the reassurance that you can enjoy the trip and not simply survive it! \nFind out more about VAM in our Frequently Asked Questions. \n  \nTravel information\nRiders on this trip can arrive at Bilbao or Biarritz airports on Saturday June 12th.
