Are you a road cyclist wanting to reach your fullest potential? Or do you simply want to take an exciting road tour in one of the world’s most stunning mountain locations? Alpine Cadence has the team, the experience and the skills to give you the ride of your life on one of our unique and carefully planned tours.
We are a small, expert, enthusiastic team based in the heart of the French Alps. Established in 2009, we are passionate about cycling and pride ourselves on delivering exhilarating and challenging cycling trips to keen road cyclists of all levels of experience and ability.
Are you preparing for a major cycling event?
We offer professional coaching and advice for all road cyclists. We aim to support all riders to improve their performance and work toward individual goals.Â
We regularly help participants prepare for major cycling races and events, including L’Etape du Tour, La Marmotte and Haute Route. Our Co-Director John Thomas is a qualified coach and seasoned competitor with a wealth of experience to share.
John is ever present on all our camps and tours to advise and help when needed.Â
Long-term individual coaching is also available, completely tailored to the rider’s needs and goals.

Alpine Cadence takes cycling seriously, but our small and social groups are fun and welcoming.Â
We offer free and informative talks and lectures in the evenings, and you will also have plenty of opportunities to socialise and enjoy fantastic food and hospitality in breathtaking surroundings.Â

About Alpine Cadence with John Thomas
We are a small team of highly motivated cycling enthusiasts who love to share our passion for cycling with others.Â
Our Co-Director, John Thomas, is a well-known figure in the Alpine cycling scene, with many great results in prestigious races.Â
He is a qualified coach (ABCC Level 3) and specialises in preparing riders for major endurance events such as La Marmotte, L’Etape du Tour and Haute Route.

1 event, The beautiful island of Sardinia is a road cyclist's paradise. Spectacular, quiet roads await us for seven days of point-to-point riding in the island's northern half. 1 event, The Taiwan KOM Challenge has rapidly gained stature in recent years as perhaps the toughest one-day cycling event in the world. Taiwan’s KOM Challenge is an incredible event. It is 105 kilometres, almost all of which is uphill. It starts close to Hualien on the East coast at the beachfront. It culminates on the Wuling Pass at an altitude of 3275 metres. Professionals, elite riders and keen amateurs all start together in this unique and exciting event. Price and dates to be confirmed soon. £1995 |
